Neeteen Basantlala, Director & Chief Operating Officer of Credentia International, is a respected leader known for his strategic vision and commitment to organisational excellence. His responsibilities encompass strategic planning, operational management and fiduciary duties, making him instrumental in the company’s growth and governance.
With nearly two decades of experience in corporate administration and fiduciary services, Neeteen expertly manages a diverse portfolio of companies, trusts, foundations, and other entities, further solidifying his expertise in corporate governance and secretarial practices.
Since 2019, Neeteen has been recognised as an approved officer by the Financial Services Commission and serves as a resident Non-Executive Director on various boards and committees, all of which hold specialised licenses. He is regarded as a trusted authority in the financial services sector.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to social responsibility, Neeteen is actively involved in the M&S Foundation, reflecting his dedication to making a meaningful impact on society.

Jaynarainsingh (Vinay) Tatarah is a highly accomplished finance and accounting professional with over two decades of diversified experience across multiple sectors, including freeport operations, construction, logistics, hospitality and offshore industries. As the Executive Director and Group Finance Manager at Credentia International Management Ltd, Vinay plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s financial strategy. He is responsible for overseeing a broad spectrum of financial activities, including management accounting, treasury management and long-term cash flow planning.
Vinay’s extensive expertise encompasses working capital optimisation, tax compliance and human resources management, with particular strengths in payroll administration and providing strategic administrative support. He earned a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, England, in December 2014 and has held the designation of an approved officer by the Financial Services Commission since 2018.
In addition to his executive role at Credentia, Vinay serves as a resident Non-Executive Director for several global business companies with specialised licenses, showcasing his exceptional capacity for strategic oversight and deep regulatory acumen. His career is marked by an unwavering commitment to financial excellence, operational efficiency, and delivering value through strategic financial management.
Vishwanathsing (Mike) Purmah currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Credentia International Management Ltd, where he spearheads the Activity Licences Team. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of entities, each holding activity licences issued by the Financial Services Commission.
Since joining Credentia Group in 2020 as Corporate Manager of the Activity Licences Team, Mike has consistently demonstrated exceptional work ethics and exemplary leadership abilities. His dedication and vision quickly earned him the trust of the company’s leadership, leading to his promotion to head the Activity Licences Team. In this capacity, he has successfully managed a multidisciplinary team that includes administrators, compliance staff and accountants, ensuring the team operates with efficiency and precision.
Recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Credentia, Mike’s influence within the organisation has grown significantly. He now chairs several critical committees, including the Human Resources and Audit committees, where his strategic insight and attention to detail are highly valued.

His unwavering commitment to Credentia’s strategic vision has been instrumental as the company continues to pursue unparalleled growth and innovation in the industry.
Group Head of Special Projects, Isabelle Orian, joined our team in July 2022 as Head of Business Development & Talent Management. As our team expanded, Isabelle transitioned to focus on strategic Business Development and other key areas, leveraging over two decades of professional experience, maximizing on her skills to help create new service lines and business opportunities within the group. Her contributions have notably enhanced our brand expression, communication and organisational capabilities, particularly in supporting our participation in major industry events such as the iFX Expo and developing our media voice and communication image as well as the development of other projects within the group.
Isabelle’s extensive background in client focus and satisfaction is demonstrated by her previous roles, including Managing Director and Principal of another management company in Mauritius, as well as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Deputy MLRO. Her dynamic, ethical and innovative approach has been instrumental in building strong, lasting relationships with clients, business partners and associates locally and internationally.
Her diverse experience spans through Human Resources Management, Compliance, Corporate & Fiduciary Administration, Marketing, Communications and Branding. Isabelle’s broad skillset and proactive attitude makes her a vital asset to our team, continuously pushing boundaries and contributing to our success.
Tariq Caramtali holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Wolverhampton, UK. He is also a Member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) with the CAMS designation and an Affiliate Member of the International Compliance Association (ICA), UK. He followed the Bar Vocational Course at the Council of Legal Education, Mauritius, during the year 2006.
Tariq has a combined working experience of more than 10 years in the Legal/Global Business sector, and he joined Credentia International Management Ltd in August 2020. He heads the Legal and Compliance Department and is also an approved Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer by the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius. In addition, he has a wide exposure in Foundations, Trusts, Corporate and Fund Administration. During his career at renowned firms, he has been extensively involved in assisting both local and international clients on various aspects of Global Business, including entities’ structuring and drafting of legal and other corporate documents, thus imparting him with much experience in the Regulatory and Compliance fields of the Financial Services sector.
Besides, Tariq is a registered MQA Law Trainer and apart from devising course outlines and contents, he also provides regular professional training, both in-house and public, to practitioners from the financial services, banking and insurance sectors on various aspects of Compliance-AML/CFT, Trust and Foundation.
Ranjana, has over 20 years’ extensive experience in both the Financial Services and the Banking Sectors with an insatiable thirst to learn. There has indeed been and continues to be multiple challenges in an ever-evolving world which has eventually forged her personality and conviction to always unlearn and relearn. Ranjana has experienced a highly gratifying career and she is excited today looking at the next decades as if she was in the beginning of her career.
She has successfully managed High Net Worth Individuals at AfrAsia Bank and the Mauritius Commercial Bank. Ranjana has been instrumental in setting the Mauritius office of a reputed Dubai-based boutique wealth firm as Head of Business Development and Strategy and the private client services cluster of a leading financial conglomerate. Her career thus far has taken her to London, New York, India, Dubai and multiple countries in Africa. Ranjana has worked with the Financial Services Commission and the Economic Development Board and other recognised institutions such as the United Nations and the Commonwealth Business Council.
An economist with a UK master’s degree in International Relations, Ranjana is a member of the International Compliance Association (ICA) UK, the Mauritius Institute of Directors and The Boardroom Africa. She is currently wrapping up her Certified Compliance Manager at the Global Compliance Institute, Australia and her PhD. She also champions and volunteers for Child Welfare, Animal Protection and Nature Preservation. Buzzwords she swears by are Ethics and Compassion and her favourite leisure is Wall-Art
With over 15 years of experience in the Global Markets, Karina is the Corporate Manager of Activity – Licences at Credentia. Prior to joining Credentia, Karina has held various positions in major management firms. Her decades of experience in the global business world, coupled with her leadership skills acquired over time, has enabled her to build in depth knowledge in managing and administration of activity licenced entities.
She takes her role as a leader seriously and continuously monitors her team members’ performance and motivation level. Even in a cut-throat competitive corporate world, Karina is a firm believer that creativity fuels innovative ideas and opens doors to new opportunities.
Holding a Diploma from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), Poushma has more than 10 years’ experience in the Global Business field and her skills and exposure have been concentrated on mainly activity licensed companies. Being of a meticulous and precise nature with an honest, ethical and accountable approach, she has excelled by exceeding client expectations and is greatly respected by her peers and clients alike for her dedication and hard work.

Meet Deepti, our Manager of People and Culture, bringing over 13 years of experience to our team. Her journey is defined by her specialised knowledge in Industrial Relations and Employment Laws, supported by a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Human Resources Management and a Masters in International Business from Curtin University.
Deepti’s extensive experience extends to holding a key Industrial Relations Advisory role at Business Mauritius, where she influenced operations across the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors of Mauritius’ private sector. She collaborated with international organisations such as the ILO and the SADC Private Sector Forum, gaining exposure to the African labour market and further enhancing her global perspective. Amidst her career ventures spanning diverse sectors including Manufacturing, Telecommunications and IT, where she has led hands-on general HR Operations, Deepti also prioritises the human element of workplace culture with a focus on fostering genuine connections among colleagues, ensuring that every individual feels valued and supported.
